28-year sentence in Ohio in $100M charity scam
Mon Dec 16, 2013
"Authorities say he is Harvard-trained attorney John Donald Cody. " THAT just about sums it up... Harvard graduates some of the most corrupt, morally-challenged individuals on the planet. It might be nice if they actually taught - and took seriously - ethics, but I'm not holding my breath.
Cirque du Soleil performer falls in 'Wheel of Death' during Las Vegas show
Sat Nov 2, 2013
I saw the Cirque du Soleil show "O" in Las Vegas some years back. I thought it was just plain stupid. No plot, just weirdness - people jumping into and out of the water and swinging around on ropes. And all for the bargain price of $110. Well, like a wise man once said, "fool me once...".

Soda or pop? Coo-pon or cyu-pon? Maps reveal how America speaks
Thu Jun 6, 2013
In the Boston area we NEVER used to call it soda or pop - it was tonic! We drank frappes, ate subs, drank from a fountain (not a bubbler), cut out "kyoo-pons" from the paper, sat with guests in the "parlor", kept tools down in the cellar, ate dinner at noon and supper at 6:00.

Politicians, courts, religious and business leaders and the community itself absolutely refuse to state what is wrong.
